By accessing or using Sophia, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Woohyeok Choi, the individual developer and operator of Sophia.

2. Description of Service

Sophia is a conversation-first business operating system designed for startup founders. The platform provides:

  • Onboarding via Slack direct messages, powered by LLM-driven conversational flow
  • A web dashboard serving as the primary product surface for managing your business operating model
  • Integration with twelve third-party tool connectors (PostHog, Stripe, Linear, GitHub, Notion, Amplitude, Mixpanel, BigQuery, GA4, Discord, Devin, Slack) via OAuth and API key connections
  • Automated company brief generation based on your website, business context, and connected tools
  • Ongoing Slack-based interaction for queries, data lookups, and action triggers after onboarding

The service is currently in alpha. Features, availability, and functionality may change without prior notice.

3. Account Registration

To use Sophia, you must create an account using Google OAuth authentication. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify me immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. I am not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Sophia for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to Sophia
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the service
  • Use automated means to access the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage or places an undue burden on the infrastructure
  • Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

5. Intellectual Property

The Sophia platform, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Woohyeok Choi. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.

You retain full ownership of your business data, content, and information provided during onboarding and ongoing use of the service. By using Sophia, you grant me a limited license to use, process, and store your content solely as necessary to provide and improve the service.

6. Third-Party Services

Sophia integrates with third-party services including Slack, analytics platforms, developer tools, and other software. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party service’s own terms of service and privacy policies.

I am not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party service. I do not guarantee that integrations with third-party services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Changes made by third-party providers to their APIs or services may affect Sophia’s functionality.

7. Privacy

Your use of Sophia is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which describes how I collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Sophia, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

Sophia is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Sophia is currently in alpha. The service may contain bugs, incomplete features, or errors. I do not guarantee that the service will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis.

Outputs generated by the LLM, including company briefs, suggestions, and operating model recommendations, are produced by artificial intelligence and should be reviewed and validated by you before relying on them for business decisions. I do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any LLM-generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Woohyeok Choi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

My total aggregate liability for all claims related to the service shall not exceed the total amount of fees you have paid to me for use of the service during the twelve months preceding the claim. During the free alpha period, this amount is zero.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the use of the service at any time. You may stop using Sophia and request account deletion at any time. I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at my discretion, including for violation of these terms, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to access and use Sophia ceases immediately. I may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. You may request a copy of your data prior to account deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

I may modify these Terms of Service at any time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of Sophia after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the service.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Sophia shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
